Smart File Extensions
We map over 60 languages to their correct extensions. A ```typescript block downloads as a .ts file, not a generic .txt.
Batch Download
If the AI generated a multi-file project, click "Download all" to save every single file to your computer instantly.
100% Secure
Your proprietary code and prompts are processed locally. Nothing is uploaded to a server for extraction.
Syntax Highlighting
Code blocks are displayed with clean, readable styling so you can quickly verify the AI output before downloading.
No Code Truncation
We preserve all indentation, tabs, and line breaks exactly as they were provided by the LLM.
Works Offline
After the page loads, you can turn off your internet. The extraction runs entirely in JavaScript.
What people use it for
Building from AI Output
Quickly turn a ChatGPT response into actual files in your project without copying and pasting one by one.
Saving Snippets
Archive useful utility functions or React hooks generated by AI into your local components folder.
Learning and Testing
Download example code from a tutorial or AI lesson to run it locally and see how it works.
Comparing Solutions
Extract multiple code blocks from a prompt asking for "three different ways to solve this" and test them.
Sharing with Teammates
Download the code blocks and send the actual files to a colleague instead of a messy text dump.
Preventing Formatting Loss
Copying code from chat windows often ruins indentation. Our download preserves it perfectly.
Questions people ask
How does it find the code?
It uses a regex parser to look for standard Markdown code fences (```language). It handles multiple blocks in a single response automatically.
Does it download the files with the right extension?
Yes. We map over 50 languages to their file extensions. A ```typescript block downloads as a .ts file, and ```python downloads as .py.
Can I download all snippets at once?
Yes! If the AI generates multiple files, a "Download all" button will appear, which triggers a download for each file sequentially.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The extraction is done entirely in your browser using JavaScript regular expressions. Your code never leaves your device.
What if the AI didn't use markdown?
This tool specifically looks for markdown backticks (```). If the AI provided raw text without them, it won't be detected.
Can I copy to clipboard instead?
Yes, every code card has a "Copy" button that puts the exact code on your clipboard for pasting into an IDE.
Does it support HTML and CSS?
Yes. It supports HTML, CSS, SCSS, Tailwind, and many other frontend languages.
Is there a limit on response size?
Because it runs locally, it can handle extremely large AI responses without timing out.
