How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your cURL

Copy a cURL command from your terminal, Postman, or API docs and paste it into the box.

  2. 2

    Toggle your library

Choose between native Fetch API or Axios for the generated JavaScript code.

  3. 3

    Copy the code

Click copy and paste the perfectly formatted code directly into your project.

Everything you get for free

  • Instant Conversion

Stop manually typing out headers and body objects. Paste a complex cURL command and get clean code in milliseconds.

  • Fetch & Axios Support

Generate code for the native browser Fetch API, or for Axios if you are using a Node.js backend or a React frontend.

  • 100% Secure

cURL commands often contain Bearer tokens and API keys. Because we run locally, your secrets never leave your device.

  • Smart JSON Parsing

If your cURL contains a JSON payload, we parse it and format it beautifully so you can see the exact data structure.

  • Header Handling

Automatically extracts all -H or --header flags and formats them into standard JavaScript objects.

  • Works Offline

Once the page loads, you can disconnect from the internet and the converter will continue to work perfectly.

What people use it for

  • API Prototyping

Quickly test an API in your terminal with cURL, then convert it to Fetch to put directly into your app.

  • Postman Exports

Postman allows you to export requests as cURL. Paste them here to convert them into your frontend code.

  • StackOverflow Snippets

Found a solution on StackOverflow using cURL but your app uses Axios? Convert it in seconds.

  • Webhook Testing

Convert cURL webhook payloads into JavaScript to test your webhook receivers locally.

  • Avoiding Syntax Errors

Manually converting multi-line cURL commands often leads to syntax errors. Our parser handles the formatting for you.

  • Learning Fetch

If you are new to JavaScript, use this tool to see how cURL flags translate into the Fetch API configuration object.

Questions people ask

What is cURL?

cURL is a command-line tool used to send HTTP requests. Developers use it to test APIs, download files, and debug network issues.

Are my API keys safe?

Yes. The entire conversion happens in your browser using JavaScript. Your cURL commands (and any API tokens inside them) are never uploaded or logged.

Does it support POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE?

Yes. The tool detects the -X or --request flag and automatically sets the correct method in the generated JavaScript code.

How does it handle the request body?

It looks for the -d, --data, or --data-raw flags. If the body is valid JSON, it parses and formats it. If it is a string, it passes it directly to the body/data field.

Why is my body showing as a string instead of JSON?

If your JSON is malformed (missing quotes, etc.), the parser falls back to passing it as a raw string to prevent your code from crashing.

Does it support multi-line cURL commands?

Yes. The tool strips the backslashes (\) and line breaks, combining the command into a single line before parsing.

What is the difference between Fetch and Axios?

Fetch is native to browsers and Node.js 18+. Axios is a popular third-party library that automatically parses JSON and has slightly cleaner syntax.

Does this work for file uploads?

Currently, it handles standard text and JSON bodies. Complex multipart/form-data (-F) file uploads are not fully supported yet.
