How to watermark photos on your phone in 3 steps
- 1
Open this page on your phone
Open tooldeck.online in Safari, Chrome or any modern mobile browser. No app install is needed, and the page loads instantly.
- 2
Pick photos from the gallery
Tap the upload area, then choose one or several photos from your camera roll. Drag the watermark with one finger on the live preview to place it perfectly.
- 3
Download the result
Tap download. One photo saves directly. Several are packed into a ZIP that your phone can open in the Files app or any file manager.
Why use a browser instead of an app
Watermark apps ask for access to your entire photo library, ask for sign-up, and sometimes add their own watermark on top. A browser tool does none of that. The page opens, you pick the photos you want, and the only permission is whatever your browser uses for file selection.
If you are on a desktop later, the workflow is the same. A bulk batch of up to 20 images works both on phone and desktop, giving you the same consistent results without installing anything.
Features of this mobile watermarker
True mobile experience
The layout adapts to your screen. The sliders are easy to use with a thumb, and the live preview fits without pinching or zooming.
One-finger drag
Touch and hold the watermark on the live preview, then move it. No tiny buttons, no menus hiding the photo. The position is applied to the export.
No app permissions
Apps ask for access to your entire photo library. A browser tool only gets the specific photos you pick from the file selector, keeping the rest private.
Private, runs in your browser
Your photos are not uploaded to a server. The watermark is drawn locally using the HTML5 Canvas API, so your mobile data is not wasted uploading large files.
Mobile tips
- 1
Use one finger to drag
Touch and hold the watermark on the preview, then move it. Two fingers will zoom the page instead of moving the mark.
- 2
Small text is easier than big text
A large size gets clipped on narrow screens. 4% to 6% of width is usually readable on a phone-sized photo.
- 3
Batch smaller groups on older phones
Five to ten photos per batch is smoother than twenty on older Android devices. The settings stay the same between batches.
- 4
Save the ZIP to Files, not Photos
iPhone Photos cannot open a ZIP directly. Tap Save to Files and unzip there, then move the photos into Photos if you like.
- 5
Check orientation before downloading
If your photo is landscape, the preview will show it. Make sure the watermark looks good in that orientation before saving.

What works well and what to keep in mind
What works well
- Live preview with one-finger drag on mobile
- Adjust size, color and opacity with touch-friendly sliders
- JPG, PNG and WebP image formats supported
- Batch up to 20 images, ZIP download
- Works on both iPhone (Safari) and Android (Chrome)
What to keep in mind
- Text watermarks only (no logo image uploads yet)
- Very large batches may run slower on older phones
- ZIP download may not open in all mobile apps natively
- JPG export applies standard compression to save space
- Closing the browser tab will reset the tool and lose unsaved work

Watermark on phone FAQ
Do I need to install an app to watermark photos on my phone?
No. Open this page in any modern mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and it works like an app. There is nothing to install and no sign-up.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It uses the HTML5 Canvas API, which every modern iPhone and Android browser supports. It works on iPads and tablets too.
Can I drag the watermark with my finger?
Yes. Touch and hold the watermark on the live preview, then drag it into place with one finger. The Position menu switches to Custom automatically.
How do I open the ZIP file on my phone?
On iPhone, tap the ZIP and it unpacks in the Files app. On Android, most file managers open ZIP files directly. If you only watermark one photo, you get a single JPG or PNG and there is no ZIP at all.
Does it upload my photos to a server?
No. Everything is processed locally in your phone browser. Your photos stay on your device, and your mobile data is not used to upload large files.
Will large photos drain my battery?
Watermarking uses CPU while it runs. A few images are quick. Very large batches on older phones can be slow; use smaller batches if you notice lag.
Can I add more than one watermark on a phone?
You can upload multiple photos and they all get the same watermark. Different watermarks per photo need one batch each.
Is it free on mobile too?
Yes. Free on phone and desktop, no sign-up, no watermark added by us, and no per-image charge.
Privacy note
The watermarking happens on your device. Your photos are read by your browser, drawn on a canvas and saved back to your device. They are not sent to ToolDeck servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
