Questions people ask
What is the correct keyword format for Adobe Stock?
Adobe Stock uses semicolon-separated keywords (;), up to 50 keywords per file, ordered by relevance. Adobe automatically lowercases on submission but sending them lowercase is safer.
Does Shutterstock use commas or semicolons?
Shutterstock uses comma-separated keywords, up to 50 per file. The CSV upload accepts both, but comma is the official format.
How many keywords should I use on Getty or iStock?
Getty Images and iStock both allow up to 50 keywords, comma-separated. iStock recommends 20-40 high-quality keywords rather than filling all 50 with low-relevance terms.
What format does Vecteezy use for keywords?
Vecteezy uses comma-separated keywords, up to 50 per resource. Vecteezy recommends 20-30 keywords. The first 5 keywords get the most weight in their search algorithm.
What about Depositphotos, 123RF and Bigstock?
All three use comma-separated keywords with a 50-keyword limit. Freepik also uses comma with 50 keywords, though they recommend 15-20 quality keywords.
Do video platforms use the same format?
Mostly. Pond5 allows up to 50 comma-separated keywords. Storyblocks allows up to 100 keywords (15-30 recommended). Motion Array and Envato Elements typically allow up to 50.
What is the keyword limit on Dreamstime?
Dreamstime allows up to 80 keywords, comma-separated. Keywords must be single words on Dreamstime - phrases are only allowed in the title or description.
What is the keyword limit on EyeEm and Pixabay?
EyeEm allows up to 40 keywords. Pixabay recommends 10-20 quality keywords (comma-separated) - excessive keywording can dilute relevancy.
How many keywords does Canva allow?
Canva recommends exactly 20 keywords per image, sorted by relevance with single-word priority. This is the sweet spot for their search algorithm.
How do I convert a comma-separated list to semicolons?
Paste your list in the input box, choose "Comma" as the input delimiter and "Semicolon" as the output. The conversion happens live as you type. Copy or download the result.
Does the tool handle quoted CSV fields?
Yes. If a field is wrapped in double quotes, we treat the whole thing as one keyword - even if it contains commas. This matches how Excel, Google Sheets and stock agencies parse CSV.
Is any data uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your keyword lists are never sent to any server - safe for confidential client work and pre-release portfolios.
