Detecting...

Detecting your location so we can label your results.

3 STEPS · 11 REGIONS · ~30 SECONDS · RUNS IN YOUR BROWSER

Works on Android · iPhone · Desktop

Turn off VPNs and pause downloads for the most accurate result. On a phone, WiFi gives steadier numbers than mobile data.

Quick answer: what is a good ping in PUBG?

In short: under 40 ms is excellent, 40–70 ms is good for ranked, 70–100 ms is playable, and anything above about 120 ms starts to cause delayed hits and rubber-banding. To get the lowest ping, pick the PUBG region closest to you, use a wired or close-range 5 GHz connection, and close background downloads.

Ping is the time a signal takes to reach the game server and return, in milliseconds. Two other numbers matter just as much: jitter, how much your ping changes from moment to moment, and packet loss, the share of data that never arrives. A steady 70 ms often feels better than an average of 50 ms that keeps jumping.

Run the test above, then choose the region at the top of your results in the PUBG or BGMI lobby. The ranges below are typical values, and your own numbers will depend on your ISP, your location and the time of day.

What is a good ping for PUBG?

General guidelines for PUBG and BGMI. Competitive players usually aim for the top two rows.

PUBG ping rating scale
PingRatingWhat it feels like
Under 40 msExcellentFeels like playing locally. Hits and movement register quickly.
40–70 msGoodComfortable for ranked and squad play.
70–100 msPlayableFine for most players. You may lose a few close fights.
100–150 msNoticeable delayHit registration feels late and fast fights become harder.
Over 150 msPoorRubber-banding, shots that land late and deaths behind cover. Switch region or fix your connection.

PUBG server regions by country

Which region is usually best for which country, based on network distance, and the ping to expect from a good connection.

Ranges are indicative for good wired or fiber connections. The regions on offer differ between PUBG Mobile, BGMI and PC, and publishers can add or remove them, so check the in-game region menu.

PUBG Mobile vs BGMI vs PUBG on PC

These are three separate games with separate accounts. The ping test applies to all of them, because it measures how far you are from each region.

Best approach: use the ToolDeck test to choose a region quickly, then confirm with the in-game ping display, and use the command line only to dig into a routing problem.

How to lower your PUBG ping

Six practical fixes, in rough order of how much they help.

  • Wired beats WiFi

On PC, a LAN cable is often a clear gain over WiFi. On mobile, sit closer to the router or use the 5 GHz network.

  • Close what you do not need

Downloads, cloud backups and streaming on other devices all eat bandwidth and add jitter. Close them before ranked matches.

  • Pick the closest region

In the lobby, choose the region we found fastest for you. A region you only assume is best can turn out worse than the auto-pick.

  • Restart your router now and then

Routers that run for weeks can slow down. A regular restart helps keep latency steady.

  • A VPN rarely helps

A VPN adds a stop on the way. Only try one if you have shown that your ISP routes PUBG traffic badly, and compare with and without it.

  • Turn off background updates

Windows Update, Steam downloads and phone OS updates in the background can spike your ping during a match.

Troubleshooting PUBG lag

Common PUBG lag problems, causes and fixes
SymptomLikely causeWhat to do
High ping all the timeWrong region, weak WiFi or a slow route from your ISP.Switch to the region at the top of your results and use a cable or 5 GHz WiFi.
Ping spikes during matchesAnother device downloading, or a background app.Pause other devices’ downloads, close background apps and test again.
Good in the day, bad at nightNetwork congestion in peak hours.Play at quieter times, or ask your ISP about evening performance.
Rubber-banding or teleportingPacket loss from a poor signal or a faulty cable.Replace the cable, move closer to the router and restart it.
Mobile data is worse than WiFiWeak signal or tower congestion.Move near a window, try 4G or 5G if both are available, or switch to WiFi.
My test result is lower than my in-game pingThe test is a browser measurement, and the game uses its own connection.Use the test to choose a region, then confirm with the in-game ping display.

All of these run in your browser, with nothing uploaded.

PUBG ping questions

What is a good ping for PUBG?

Under 40 ms is excellent and feels close to local play. 40 to 70 ms is good for ranked. 70 to 100 ms is playable. Above about 120 ms you will notice delayed hit registration and rubber-banding, and competitive play gets difficult.

Which PUBG server is best for Pakistan?

For Pakistan, the nearest Asia region is usually the fastest, often around 60 to 90 ms on a good connection. The Middle East region can be the next best option at roughly 80 to 110 ms, and Europe and North America are typically higher. Your own test result is the best guide.

Which PUBG server is best for India?

For India, the nearest Asia region is usually fastest, often around 30 to 50 ms on fiber. Check the India page for city-by-city guidance.

Is BGMI the same as PUBG Mobile?

No. BGMI is the version made for players in India, and it has its own accounts and servers, separate from global PUBG Mobile. This test measures the network distance to regions near you, which helps you pick the closest option in either game.

Which server is best for BGMI?

Choose the closest Asia option offered in the game. For most players in India that gives the lowest ping. Run the test and use the lowest region as your guide.

Why does my in-game PUBG ping differ from your number?

PUBG uses UDP for movement and hit detection, which a browser cannot send. We measure the closest equivalent, the round-trip time of web requests to data centres in each region. It is a good way to compare regions, but it will not match the in-game number exactly.

How do I reduce my PUBG ping?

Use a wired connection if you can, or 5 GHz WiFi close to the router. Close background apps and downloads, restart your router, and pick the closest region in the lobby. On mobile data, try switching between 4G and 5G if available.

Does a VPN help PUBG ping?

Usually not, because it adds a detour. It can help in rare cases where your ISP routes PUBG traffic badly. Test with and without a VPN and keep whichever gives the lower result.

What is the difference between ping and jitter?

Ping is the round-trip time. Jitter is how much that time varies from moment to moment. Low ping with high jitter often feels worse than slightly higher ping that stays steady. Packet loss, the share of data that never arrives, also causes rubber-banding.

Why does my PUBG ping spike during matches?

Common causes are another device downloading on your WiFi, a background app, evening network congestion, or a weak signal. Pause other devices and test again to isolate the cause.

Can I play PUBG with 100 ms ping?

Yes, many casual players do. But against someone on a much lower ping, you will see them later and your shots will land later. For competitive play, aim for under about 70 ms.

Which PUBG region is best for matchmaking?

Regions with more players generally find matches faster. If your closest region is quiet at certain hours, a nearby busier region may be a reasonable trade-off, as long as the ping stays acceptable.

Does this work for PUBG PC and PUBG Mobile?

Yes. The test measures your connection to regions around the world, so you can use the result to pick a region in PUBG Mobile, BGMI or PUBG on PC.

Do I need to log in to see my PUBG ping?

No. We do not ask for your PUBG account or ID. The test is anonymous and runs in your browser.
