Questions people ask

Is my HTML uploaded anywhere?

No. Rendering happens entirely in your browser using html2canvas and jsPDF. Nothing is sent to any server.

Is it really 100% secure?

Yes. There is no upload step, no server processing, no temporary storage. Open your browser network tab while you convert. You will not see your HTML being sent anywhere.

Can I convert a URL?

You can try, but almost all websites block cross-origin fetches from the browser (CORS). If fetching fails, open the page, right-click, View Page Source, copy the HTML, and paste it in the "Paste HTML" tab. That always works.

What CSS is supported?

Inline styles, embedded <style> blocks, flexbox, grid, custom fonts, colors, borders and gradients. Very new CSS features may render differently depending on your browser engine.

Does it handle images in the HTML?

Yes, if they are loaded. Remote images (http and https URLs) must be CORS-friendly. Base64-embedded images always work.

Will it paginate automatically?

Yes. The full page is rendered to one tall canvas, then split into page-sized slices. Content flows naturally across pages.

Does the PDF have selectable text?

No. We rasterize the HTML, so text becomes pixels. If you need selectable text, use the original HTML source instead.

Is there a file size limit?

No. iLovePDF caps free users at 5MB. We impose no limit. The practical limit is your device memory.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android both work. No app needed.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has cached the libraries, you can switch off WiFi and convert HTML locally.

Can I add headers and footers?

Not in this version. Page numbers, headers and footers are on our roadmap.

Can I convert multiple HTML documents at once?

Not in this version, one document at a time.

100% secure, nothing stored

Rendering happens entirely in your browser. There is no upload step, no temporary server-side storage, no database, no retention. Open your browser network tab while you use the tool. You will not see your HTML being sent anywhere. Privacy section.
