Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using PDF.js and the docx library. Nothing is sent to any server.
Is it really 100% secure?
Yes. There is no upload step, no server processing, no temporary storage. Open your browser network tab while you convert, you will not see your PDF being sent anywhere.
What is the maximum file size?
There is no fixed limit, the limit is your device memory. PDFs of 100 or more pages and 50+ MB work on modern phones and laptops. Free competitors like iLovePDF cap at 5MB.
Will the formatting be preserved?
For text-heavy PDFs you get clean paragraphs, headings and basic structure. Complex layouts, tables, multi-column magazines, embedded images, lose their exact positioning.
Can it handle scanned PDFs?
Not directly. If a PDF page has no extractable text, we flag it. OCR for scanned PDFs is coming soon as a separate tool.
Which fonts are supported?
We preserve common fonts (Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Helvetica, Georgia) and substitute close equivalents otherwise.
Does it keep images from the PDF?
Not in this version, we extract text. Image extraction is on our roadmap.
What output format do I get?
A standard .docx file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, Pages, WPS Office and every modern editor.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Safari on iOS and Chrome on Android both work. No app to install.
Do I need internet after the page loads?
No. Once the page is open and the PDF engine is cached, you can switch off WiFi and the conversion still works.
How accurate is the paragraph detection?
For a typical business document, 90 to 95% of paragraph breaks are detected correctly.
Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?
Not in this version, one PDF at a time. Batch mode is on our roadmap.
